We are delighted to announce that the next ICOM EXHIBITIONS Annual Conference will take place in Pontevedra, Spain, from 19 to 24 September 2027.

The conference will be hosted by the Museo de Pontevedra, a public museum operated by the Provincial Council of Pontevedra (Deputación de Pontevedra), and will be held at the museum’s Castelao building. The Museo de Pontevedra has a strong record of hosting national and international gatherings, including the 4th ICOM Spain Museology Conference (2025) and the 17th National Numismatics Congress (2024).

The conference has been scheduled to coincide with the 33rd Pontevedra International Contemporary Art Biennial (30 April to 26 September 2027). Participants will have the opportunity to experience the Biennial as part of the conference programme, offering a valuable chance to see exhibition-making in practice.

The call for papers, programme details and registration information will be shared in due course. We look forward to welcoming colleagues from around the world to Pontevedra in September 2027.
